Imperiled seals discovered dead on Russia's Caspian coast
More than 100 and seventy seals were washed up dead over the shores of Caspian in Russia. Experts believe that the seals may need died thanks to industrial pollution or may need got caught within the nets.

Shrinking of Caspian
The sea is shrinking in measures of centimetres.
The increased evaporation of the ocean and loss of ice in winter is to accelerate the losses. Dead Zones are emerging within the sea in deeper parts.
The shrinking of Caspian will affect the ecosystems within the region. The Shipping routes are going to be greatly affected. Famous wetlands will disappear, fishing grounds are going to be lost, international tensions in sharing he waters for fishing might increase, the winter ice might completely vanish.

The Tehran Convention entered into force in 2006. it had been signed by all the five Caspian bordering countries like Iran, Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan. it had been the primary legally binding instrument signed by the Caspian states. It lays down requirements and for environmental protection within the Caspian .
Caspian Summit
The Caspian Summit, 2018 was held in Aktau. The Convention on the status of the Caspian was signed at the summit. it had been signed by all the five Caspian countries. The summit provides jurisdiction over 24 km of body of water to every country. Additionally, an exclusive fishing rights on the surface was also granted. the remainder is high sea .
