Job Description (Junior Research Fellow)

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Science & Engineering Applications are invited from eligible candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a Science & Engineering Research Board, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India funded research project entitled, “Role of hypothalamic neuropeptide VF neuronal circuit in stress-induced changes in sympathetic activity and energy homeostasis” under the supervision of Dr. Raj Kamal Srivastava (Principal Investigator).

Duration of the project: Three years (3 years), the tenure of the appointment will be initially for one year which may be extended further based upon the satisfactory performance.

Nature of the Post: Temporary and co-terminus with the project

Essential Qualifications: As per Govt. rules. M. Sc. or equivalent degree with at least55% marks, in Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ life sciences and have qualified NET(JRF/LS)/GATE/national level equivalent exam in Life Sciences.

Age Limit: The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years. However, a relaxation up to 5 years is admissible for SC/ST/Women candidates.

Salary: Rs. 31,000/- per month + 8% HRA
