Job Description (Research Assistant, Research Scientist):

Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates for research positions for Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board sponsored Project entitled “Source Apportionment, Emission Inventory and Carrying Capacity Study for Dehradun city, Uttarakhand” at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project. The total emoluments for various positions are as per university norms. Meritorious and highly promising candidates joining in research positions will get an opportunity to register for PhD provided fulfilling necessary eligibility requirements.

Research Assistant (2 post)

18,780/- p.m.

M.Sc. (with at least 55% marks) or B.Tech or B.Sc./ Diploma in Engineering with four-year experience. Upper age limit- 35 yrs (relaxation of 5 years for Female/SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates as per GOI norms)

Master’s in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Math with experience with computer data analysis, laboratory maintenance, record keeping, field work etc.

Research Scientist (1 post)

56,000/-p.m +HRA

Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science Upper age limit- 40 years (relaxation of 5 years for Female/SC/ST and Physically Handicapped candidates as per GOI norms).

Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science with experience in air quality, atmospheric modelling, GIS, data analytics, field work etc.
