Job Description (Junior Research Fellow)

A walk-In Interview for temporary post on contractual basis has been scheduled to be held on 30/04/2022 for two posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DST sponsored project (MRDP) under SPLICE – Climate Change Programme. The title of the project is “Impact of Climate Change on Water Resources of Arunachal Pradesh”. The project has been sanctioned up to 31.12.2023. Details of the eligibility criteria for different posts along with the monthly emoluments are given below:

Monthly Emoluments: ₹ 31,000/- + HRA @ 8% for first two years and ₹ 35,000/- + HRA @ 8% for third year (Consolidated)

M. Tech. in Soil and Water Engg/ Irrigation and Drainage Engg/ Hydrology/ Remote Sensing and GIS

NET/GATE, experience in handling geospatial software and hydrological modeling will be given preference.

PG degree in Soil and Water Engg/ Irrigation and Drainage Engg/Water Resources Engg./Hydrology Hydrogeology/Geo-informatics/Remote Sensing and GIS

NET/GATE, experience in handling geospatial software, Hydrological/ Hydrogeological/Ground Water modeling will be given preference

 

In absence of NET/GATE qualified candidate, Non-NET/Non-GATE candidate may be considered as Project Associate – I against the post of JRF/SRF with monthly consolidated emoluments of ₹ 25,000/- + HRA @ 8%.

Haryana undertakes Monkey Census as a part of Wildlife Census

  The Wildlife Institute of India recently conducted a “Monkey Census” in the state of Haryana. Ø   About the Census ü   The “Monkey Census” was a part of the “Wildlife Census of Haryana-2021”. This in turn is a part of the Wildlife Census 2021. ü   The unique feature of the “Monkey Census” is that the Wildlife Institute of India invited the local people to participate in the census. ü   Around 600 people spotted 6,000 monkeys in three days. ü   The Census for the first time was conducted using a mobile application called “Wildlife Census Haryana”.
